Don’t Join in the Food Fight! God Has His Eye on You!

The Food Fight

As I was waking this morning and fellowshipping with the Lord as I do every morning that place between wakefulness and sleep I had a dream/vision.  In the dream I saw a cafeteria in a high school.  I saw a food fight begin!  As you can imagine, food flying everywhere!  I asked the Lord, “What in the world was that?”  He replied, “Those are my children!

UH OH!

I knew also that as soon as the principal comes in, there are going to be detentions, suspensions and expulsions.  I knew the principal was God.

Do You Have Food in Your Hand?

As I discussed a food fight with my friend today we thought of the many personalities involved. There are the ones who join in gleefully and throw a little too hard.  There are the ones who are shocked but eventually join in.   There are the ones who would never do such a thing until someone hits them in the face with food.  There are the ones who are prim and proper and innocent and after a time take up a little bit and look around and throw it when no one is looking.  There are those who would never join in but watch safely under the table.  And finally those who go get the person in authority.

It’s All Fun and Games Until YOU Get Hurt!

While in the midst of the fight it seems fun and people want to do it and join in. Everyone is doing it!  No account is taken to being hit in the eye, the destruction of things, feelings hurt, or the waste of good food.  The chairs are turned over and people are unseated.  There are globs of food on the ceiling that are going to take a ladder and a patient custodian to scrap off.  There is danger walking because the floor is so slippery.  Clothing is ruined and stained.

It only took a couple of people to start it.  And some had no intention on joining in until they just had to get back at being hit in the face with food.

You Don’t Have to Join in!

There are rules in place if this happens and ramifications and discipline.  No one put a gun to their head to make them do it ( as my mom would say).  In fact they liked it too much!  It was fun, they didn’t think of the consequences.  Life was a  little boring before all of it happened!

I could go on and on.  You get the point.
